Candidate interview with Deniz Karakoc

It's time to introduce you to our new team member Deniz Karakoc. Our new Content Creation intern has an exciting story to tell. Through MoBerries to MoBerries! We asked him for an interview to learn more about his successful job search at MoBerries.

What was your situation before you registered on MoBerries?

My situation was not super complex. I am currently studying business informatics and digital media at Stuttgart Media University. At the end of my 4th semester, I was looking for an internship for the upcoming semester. My goal was to get out of Stuttgart to gain new experience. I was also looking for a company that works with startups to get an insight into this world. Before I started my studies, I did an apprenticeship and gained some work experience at Daimler. My intention was to explore the differences between billion-dollar corporations and small innovative companies.

How did you find out about MoBerries?

During my search, I didn't find what I was looking for on the usual job platforms, as they usually don't have many new and innovative companies in their portfolio. So, when I found a job as an e-sports content creator that suited me, I was directed to MoBerries. 

How would you describe the process you went through with MoBerries?

Unfortunately, the job did not match my requirements and I inquired about MoBerries as the site appealed to me a lot and after understanding how it worked, I was convinced to continue using the site. MoBerries was exactly what I needed as I was looking for interesting job opportunities that suited me. For me, using MoBerries was more efficient than searching for jobs on different sites for a long time. After creating my profile and uploading my resume, I directly received job offers that I found interesting. Among them, a job at MoBerries itself appeared, as they were looking for a Content Creator Intern at that time. I expressed my interest in the job offer and got an invitation for an interview after a few days. Quick and uncomplicated.

What attracted you to MoBerries?

In my studies, we deal a lot with innovative technologies and are very committed to the topic of start-ups. For me, MoBerries takes a new approach that simplifies the tedious process of searching for jobs and minimizes the effort of applying. Instead of putting a lot of time into each application to create custom cover letters, I can maintain an engaging profile and upload a resume. After that, all you have to do is wait for the company to contact you. 

What do you want to achieve in collaboration with MoBerries?

First and foremost, I want to learn! MoBerries offers me expertise and a network that I can't easily get in large companies. The company feels very modern and allows room for development, which makes me feel like I can really be a part of the product. As a content creator, I try to let customers participate in what's happening and sell the product authentically.

Tell us 3 interesting things about yourself

3 interesting things about me:

  • My beginnings in the professional world were in the technical field and my school education was more physics-oriented until I decided to make marketing my new focus. 
  • In my spare time, I am interested in videography and analog photography, I am also a big film fan.
  • I love to travel and explore new cultures. Iceland, the Arab Emirates, and Morocco are a few of the countries I have had the pleasure to visit and explore.

What are your goals for the future?

My goals are to expand my skills and knowledge in my internship to be prepared for the working world. A bigger goal is to be one of the visionaries that contribute to shaping the future of Germany in a vital way. I think I can learn how to best implement these visions at MoBerries.
