Today we share the inspiring way of a candidate with you. Finding an internship via MoBerries – 1002 km away from home.
This candidate story is about Andreja Milosevic, a 27-year-old graphic designer. We ask him questions about his success story with MoBerries and his journey from Belgrade to Berlin.
How did you first find out about MoBerries?
I was looking for an internship for a very long time. I can't count how many applications I had sent in the past or how many interviews I had been to. It’s never easy getting disappointed after getting your hopes up. The first time I heard about MoBerries was when an HR manager sent me a referral link after declining my job application for their company. I was interested to find out more about new job searching tools and fortunately, MoBerries turned out to be the most successful one.
How long have you been active on MoBerries and what made you want to try/use?
I was lucky enough to be hired after my first job match! so not very long at all. The website seemed simple and caught my interest and so I just tried it out.
How did you feel about being referred?
That was the first time that I heard of MoBerries. I thought I had nothing to lose, so I decided to sign up and create a profile on the website and see what would happen. Now I am so glad I did. Thanks to MoBerries for reminding me what ‘not giving up’ actually means.
How would you describe the job search process on MoBerries?
Believe it or not, registering and creating my profile on the MoBerries website, matching with the job, and hearing from the company’s managing director all happened within less than an hour!
What made the match with Stoyo so special for you that you decided to apply, had you heard about Stoyo before?
I heard of Stoyo when I was matched with their job opening. After getting a message from their managing director, Katharina, I began preparing for my interview and while doing so I was impressed to learn that Stoyo is ‘Europe’s fastest-growing advertising company’ whose clients include some of the world’s most successful brands. I feel so thankful to be a part of the Stoyo team and to be working at a company that shares the same values as me.
How satisfied were you with the recruiting process and the communication via MoBerries?
It is great that you can communicate directly with companies’ HR managers through the MoBerries messenger. It is great that you can communicate so easily and quickly with the companies, which saves a lot of time.
And just a few weeks later, here I am in Berlin.
Would you recommend MoBerries to others?
Definitely, yes! I think it’s a great way to find suitable job opportunities that align with your professional skills. However, it is important not to get discouraged if you don’t get hired after your first match. I am sure that each of us has an opportunity waiting to find us at the right time.
What are your future career goals?
After the graphic design internship, I would really love to continue working at Stoyo. It is a wonderful company with such positive energy among the team members. This is an amazing opportunity for me and I am really looking forward to the upcoming months to see how much I’ve grown. I definitely see myself prospering in the graphic design field.
